WEAVER ESTATE SALE A farmhouse that hadn’t been on the market for 125 years was sold Thursday as part of a 38-acre farm for the William G. Weaver estate. It was bought by ZMW Associates, New Holland, for $605,000. According to auc tioneer Randal Kline, the Weaver family owned the farm, at 380 Linden Road, East Earl, for well over a century. William G. Weaver was born there, Kline said, and he recently died at the age of 97. The sale of the farm attracted a crowd of between 450 and 500 people, he said. One hundred ninety five of them registered to bid. Personal property sold included a TOB sizing box, $6O; brass quoits, $4O; plank-bottom chairs, $55 each; a plank bottom rocker, $75; an oak chest of drawers, $150; an oak bed, $140; a blanket chest, $385; a treadle sewing machine, $130; an oak table, $285; a Lawn Chief mower, $235; an Allis-Chalmers C tractor, $975; an Allis- Chalmers B tractor, $535; a New Idea spreader, $300; a spring harrow, $325; TOB rails, $155; and more TOB rails, $l4O.
