CATTLE: Compared to last Thurs
day, slaughter steers opened the week
steady on Monday but improved during
Tuesday’s attractive offering to close
steady to 1.00 higher. Holstein steers
traded firm. Slaughter heifers were
steady. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00
higher. Slaughter bull prices traded 1.00
lower on number 2 yield grade. Supply
included 28 percent slaughter steers and
48 percent cows.
