Beef Club Conducts Awards Banquet
CHAMBERSBURG (Frank
lin Co.) The Franklin County
4-H Beef Club conducted its
roundup Sept. 30 at Greencastle
livestock market. There were 25
exhibitors competing for fitting
and showing awards. They also
competed in five different
weight classes for the grand and
reserve champions steer. John
Housner from York was the
judge.
The sale followed at 7 p.m. in
the auction barn. Harry Back
man of Annville was the auc
tioneer.
The grand champion steer
was bought by Moss’s Steak and
Sea House and the reserve
champion was bought by Clugs
tons Ag and Turf John Deere
Equipment.
The annual buyers award
banquet was Nov. 4 at Menno
Village Banquet Hall.
After the meal, all buyers and
guest were introduced and the
awards were given to the 4-H
members.
