16830 writes that production of both the rotary
blade and flail tooth belly mower attachments
for the Farmall Cub ended when production of
the Farmall Cub ended in the mid 1950’5. In
addition, prices for used mowers which rarely
become available are about the same as that of
a new, similar-design belly mower manufac
tured by Woods corporation.

This reader uses fabric paint to paint on the
eyes instead of sewing on buttons or embroi
dery. More detail can be given, it’s faster, and
there are no buttons for babies to chew off.
Top Auctioneers Award
At the annual meeting of the New York State Auction
eers Association, held in Syracuse last week, Milo Turn
er, was named “Auctioneer of the Year.
The NYSAA, comprised of approximately 250 profes
sional auctioneers, honored Turner for his expertise,
commitment, and outstanding contributions to the or
ganization, which promotes the auction method of mar
keting and the continuing education of auctioneers.
For the past 12 years, Mr. Turner has sold heavy
equipment, motor vehicles, farm machinery, and other
personal property at public auctions across New York
and Pennsylvania. Service as a board member, past pres
ident, and current treasurer are some of his many contri
butions to the state organization. He is also active in
charitable, community, and political groups.
