Midweek trucklot buying activity was
extremely light as dealers eyed the
market with caution and continued to
limit purchases to most immediate
needs. Offerings of boneless-skinless
breasts were fully adequate to ample,
and bone-in breasts were readily avail
able. Dark meat items were more than
sufficient, particularly leg quarters and
drumsticks. Wing movement remained
good keeping product well cleared to
closely balanced. Movement into retail
and distributive channels was slow and
disappointing. The market tone was
fully steady on wings, cautiously steady
to instances weak on the balance.
