The bulk of this week’s advance came late in the week where several attractive lots of well finished cattle were on offer. A good run of slaughter heifers sold .50-1.00 higher early in the week. Midwest feedlots traded cattle from 71.00-72.00 live and 108.00-111.00 dressed. Local holstein steer supply was rather light and prices closed mostly steady. Slaughter cows traded 1.00 higher for the week. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower. Supply included 25 percent slaughter steers, 7 percent slaughter heifers, 45 percent cows, 6 percent bulls with the balance feeders.
