Trucklot buying activity was season
ally light and unaggressive as dealers
continued to work on a hand-to-mouth
basis and limit floorstocks to most im
mediate needs. Supplies of boneless
skinless breasts were ample and
discounted, and bone-in breasts were
usually available. Wings were generally
adequate and dark meat items, particu
larly leg quarters, were more than suffi
cient for current call Movement into
retail and distributive channels was no
better than fair. The market tone was
cautiously steady to instances weak on
boneless-skinless breasts, no better than
steady on the balance. Except for giz
zards, which were seeing increasing in
terest entering the holiday period.
