Majority prices were unchanged on
whites and sugared yolks, and un
changed to higher on whole and salt yolk
when compared to a week earlier. The
market tone was steady to fully steady
on yolks, fully steady on whole, and un
settled to about steady on whites. Trad
ing was limited with demand light to
moderate. Supplies were close balanced
to adequate for current needs. Liquid
and frozen eggs (ingredients included)
processed under federal inspection in the
Eastern region for the week ending Oc
tober 28, 2000 were 6% less than last
week, and 5% percent less than a year
ago.

market tone was generally steady.
Demand ranged light to good, mostly
moderate and was best where features
provided additional movement. Supplies
were in good balance to adequate,
mainly adequate. Breaking stock offer
ings were adequate to fully adequate and
demand was light to moderate. Light
type hens were usually sufficient for cur
rent processing needs.
