CATTLE: Slaughter steers closed the
week .50-1.00 higher. Trading started
the week on a steady pace, then turned
very active on Thursday with several lots
of attactive cattle on offer. Midwest
feedlots traded cattle mostly steady from
68.00-70.00 live and 108.00-109.00
dressed. Holstein steers prices held
steady early in the week then dropped
1.00 lower by the end of the week.
Slaughter heifers closed fully steady.
Slaughter cows traded mostly steady,
with instances 1.00 higher. Slaughter
bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. Supply
included 32 percent slaughter steers, 5
percent slaughter heifers, 40 percent
