Penn State Cooperative Ex tension is offering a three-day educational series for dairy pro ducers to learn more about man aging their dairy into the future. This program was developed with profit-minded dairy pro ducers who want to improve their dairy operation. The goal of this program is to educate producers of what is re quired to successfully grow a dairy business. The program is being presented at two locations in the area, McAlisterville and Bedford. Wool and Mohair Market Loss Assistance Program (WAM LAP) is available to wool or mohair producers who produced and sheared wool or mohair during the period of Jan. 1,1999 through Dec. 31,1999. This is a one time payment program that will reimburse producers at a rate of 20 cents per pound for wool and 40 cents per pound for mohair. The sign up period began Oct. 10 and will run until Dec. 29,2000.
