Livestock Sale netted more than
$38,688.61 in proceeds for 4-
H’ers and FFA members selling
their livestock animals.
The annual event featured 55
young people showing their ani
mals, which they have been rais
ing in the past several months.
Matt Porter of Elysburg sold
his champion market steer to
Hoss’s Steak and Sea House of
Shamokin Dam for $1.70 a
pound. The reserve champion
market steer owned by Alaine
Bower of Cogan Station was
sold to Bowersox Livestock of
Middleburg for $1.15 a pound.
The champion market lamb
was sold to Hoss’s Steak and Sea
House of Shamokin Dam for $4
a pound by Melana Lovell of
Linden. The reserve champion
market lamb owned by Alaine
Bower of Cogan Station was
sold to Clyde Scott of DeKalb,
Texas for $2.85 a pound.
Steve Smith of Williamsport
sold his champion market hog to
Bowersox Livestock of Middle
burg for $2.80 a pound. The re
serve champion market hog
owned by Drew Hampton of Ca
tawissa was sold to Bowersox
Livestock of Middleburg for
$1.85 a pound.
The sale averages were as fol

cents per pound; lambs with
