CATTLE: Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold steady.
The quality of supply was mostly
common and the top of the market was
never really tested. A light run of Hol
stein steers sold steady to firm. Slaughter
cow prices were mixed, the leaner types
traded steady to 1.00 higher while trad
ing was slow on the fleshy cows (less
than 85 pet lean) and prices were weak
to 1.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold firm.
Supply included 49 percent slaughter
steers and 42 percent slaughter cows.

and Prime 2-4 1270-1470 lbs 66.25-67.75,
few fancy singles up to 69.50. Choice 2-3
1135-1485 lbs 64.75-67.00, high dressing
