Movement of ready-to-cook whole
birds was centered mainly on the 3.0 and
3.5 pound sizes and offerings were gen
erally well cleared. Other sizes were
noted as irregularly available, but at
least adequate. Live supplies were mod
erate, weights varied in a full range of
light to heavy. Processing schedules were
moderately heavy. Less than trucklot
asking prices were unchanged at 51 to 68
cents. Trade sentiment was firm. In the
parts complex, inquiry centered on the
generally well balanced to close supply
of legs, leg quarters and bone-in breasts.

lower and the balance remained un
changed. The market tone ranged steady
to weak, mostly steady to barely steady.
Demand was light to fair. Supplies were
adequate to available with the larger
sizes in the longest position. Breaking
stock supplies were at least adequate
and becoming increasingly available
from regular sources. Demand for addi
tional eggs was mostly light. Trade senti
ment was weak. Light type fowl were
sufficient for current slaughter sched
ules.
