Prices paid to producers in New Eng land were 1 cent lower for extra large and large, unchanged on the balance of sizes. The market tone was barely steady to weak on the larger sizes and mostly steady for the lighter weight eggs. Demand into all outlets was light to fair, soemwhat better where scattered fea tures were in progress. In the Philadel phia area, one dozen large eggs were free with an additional purchase. Supplies were adequate to available for current needs. Breaking stock offerings from regular sources were at least adequate and demand for additional product was light. Light type hens were generally ad equate for slaughter needs.
