Gehl Skid Loader - 25 Years of Innovation, Performance
Established in 1859, Gehl Company
is known for innovation and
reliability. In 1973, the company
applied these same principles to the
first skid loader that rolled out of its
Madison, S.D. plant. Continuously
improved, the Gehl SL line-up now
represents the most significant
advances in the history of skid loader
design. In broad range of operations -
construction, industrial, rental and
agriculture - Gehl is the unity of
choice when it comes to overall
performance, efficiency and operator
comfort.
Gehl’s two largest skid loaders, the
Models 5635 and 6635, have been
improved for the year 2000.
Designated as “Series-11” models,
these popular job-site mainstays now
deliver even better performance and
smoother operation.
Standard SAE lift capacities have
been increased to 1,900 and 2,350
pounds. Optional weight kits raise
capacities to 2,200 and 2,650 pounds.
Higher hydraulic pressures result
in better attachment performance and
increased breakout force. Standard
auxiliary hydraulic flow has increased
15 percent to 23 gpm while the
optional high-flow auxiliary hydraulic
system is up 9 percent to 36 gpm.
These improved system hydraulics
mean faster cycle times, by as much
as 15 percent, over previous models. A
host of new convenience and
serviceability features have also been
incorporated into the “Series II” skid
loader units.
Additionally, the Gehl Model
46355 X is now available with a turbo
charged diesel option. Identified as a
4635 SXT, this new configuration
boasts 57-hp with a 1,425 pound SAE
operating capacity. Counterweights
increase that capacity to 1,575
pounds.
Reliable Gehl skid loaders have
been proving their worth on farms
and ranches for over 25 years. Today,
Gehl builds six models, ranging from
28- to 80-hp with SAE operating
capacities from 950 to 2,650 lbs. All
