Parade Statewide Champions
Angus enthusiasts gathered in
Harrisonburg, Va., for the 2000
Virginia Angus Breeders’ Show
held July 23 on the Rockingham
County Fairgrounds. The show
followed two days of junior
show competition. Mike Sie
mens, Madison Wis., evaluated
the 11 cow-calf pairs, 78 females
and 29 bulls shown.
BT Rachel 157 J walked away
with grand champion female
honors. Whitestone Farm,
Aldie, Va., Mandy Richardson,
BT Rachel 157 J walked away with grand champion
female honors. She is a February 1999 daughter of V D A R
Lucys Boy and owned by Whitestone Farm, Aldie, Va.;
Mandy Richardson, Louisa, Va.; and Jane Saunders, Rich
mond, Va. She was named junior champion female earlier
that day.

Whitestone Rita H 024 of 5H27 and her September 1999
calf were chosen as the Supreme Champion and grand
champion cow-calf pair. The January 1996 cow sired by
Whitestone Traveler 2149 and her bull calf sired by White
stone Widespread MB are owned by Whitestone Farm,
Aldie, Va., and Mandy Richardson, Louisa, Va. The pair was
first chosen as the champion in the bred-and-owned cow
with embryo calf.
