MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE
Movement of ready-to-cook whole

was expected to increase sharply late
week as buyers sought receipts for the
holiday lengthend weekend. Seller offer
ings were well balanced to closely
cleared on the smaller sizes; ample on
the heavier. Live supplies were moder
ate; weights were mostly desirable. Pro
cessing schedules were moderately
heavy and some operations were being
planned for Saturday. Most plants will
shut on Labor Day. Less than trucklot
asking prices were unchanged at 51 to 68
cents. Trade sentiment was fully steady
to firm on 2.S to 3.5 pound sizes, steady
at best on the balance.
