CALVES: Compared to last week,
lightweight vealers closed steady to 2.00
lower with weakening demand. Large
slaughter calves were not well tested late
in the week, but a lower undertone was
definite. Fresh Holstein bulls going back
to special-fed veal barns ended steady
with last week’s prices. Holstein heifers
were very active and finished steady to
30.00 higher.
