Following is a list of champi Stacey’s ‘Floppy’ Captures Kutztown Market Hog Trophy ANDY ANDREWS Lancaster Farming Staff KUTZTOWN (Berks Co.) “Floppy,” a 234-crossbred market hog, caught the eye of Kutztown Swine Show judge Brian Kreider, Lebanon, Tues day afternoon here at the Kutz town Fair. Exhibitor Stacey Manbeck ex hibited the heavyweight cham pion hog, which went on to win grand champion market hog at the fair. Daughter of Karen and Norman Manbeck, Womelsdorf, Stacey captured supreme cham pion for the first time at the fair. She is in the fifth grade at Tul pehocken Elementary and plans to exhibit at Farm Show. Lucinda Bray, who won re serve champion hog at the recent Reading Fair, showed a littermate of the Reading cham pion, a Duroc crossbred gilt and heavyweight reserve at Kutz town, to reserve overall cham pion. Lucinda, 18, daughter of John and Marcia Bray, Richland, is a 2000 graduate of Tulpehocken High School. She’s a freshman at Penn State, majoring in land scape architecture. Lucinda’s reserve champion was a 247-pound reserve cham pion heavyweight. At the recent Reading Fair, the Duroc gilt placed first in class, but didn’t capture grand champion. Lucinda, who obtained the hog from Oscar Manbeck, Bethel, said she loves red hogs and plans to show at the Key stone International Livestock Expo and Farm Show.
