Stoner has joined the American Dairy Association /Dairy Council Middle Atlantic as industry relations specialist and will work out of the or ganization’s Carlisle office. In her new position, Stoner will coordinate public relations and communications pro grams that help in crease producer understanding of the dairy checkoff pro gram and consumer awareness of the dairy industry. She will oversee trade show ac tivities and industry events and will de velop newsletters, news releases and other communication materials. A 1991 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Stoner ma jored in dairy and animal science and animal production management. She pre viously worked for the Pennsylvania Beef Council and the American Veal Associ ation where she was director of Veal Pro grams and coordinator of the Veal Quality As surance Program, re spectively. “I am very excited to work for dairy pro ducers and their in dustry to help increase milk consumption,” Stoner said. “Since my husband and his family are dairy pro ducers, I have a vested interest in creating promotion programs that build both milk and dairy product demand. I look for ward to making a valuable contribution to ADA/DC Middle Atlantic.” Stoner and her hus band, Tim, reside on their family dairy farm in Mercersburg, Franklin County. They milk 575 Hol stein cows and farm 1,600 acres.
