The Erst Collegiate Livestock Lead ers Institute was held July 24-28 at the Baltimore Convention Center in conjunction with the American Society of Animal Sci ence (ASAS) and the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) 2000 Joint Meeting. The ASAS, the National Block and Bridle Club, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, and the home institutions of the 10 animal agriculture under graduate students who have been selected to attend the Insti tute are sponsoring the institute. The week long institute focused on providing an inte grated overview of science appli cations in the beef industry. The objective of the program is to de velop future livestock industry leaders by exposure to and inter action with leaders in national commodity and scientific organ izations.
