Elm Park Farms, Ltd. of She boygan Falls, Wisconsin was re cently honored through their association with two “Wisconsin Cow of the Millennium” winners, recognized at the Wis consin. All Breeds Convention in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin by the Wisconsin Holstein Associa tion and the Wisconsin Depart ment of Agriculture. Elm Park Farms was the only breeding farm in Wisconsin associated with two of the Seven Wisconsin Millennium winners. Recognized as the Wisconsin Cow of the Millennium Red and White Winner was Nandette TT Speckle-Red, owned by Elm Park Farms. Known around the world as a successful Red and White show cow herself, Spec kle-Red was scored Excellent-93 and holds the show titles of All- American Red and White in 1981 and 1984, as well as the Grand Champion of the Wis consin Spring Show in 1984. At the age of four years and eight months, Speckle-Red pro duced 25,290 pounds of milk in 365 days, consisting of 4.7 per cent butterfat and 3.5 percent protein, statistics impressive even by today’s standards. Felicia May was bred by Allen Hetts of Crescent Beauty Farms and was sold to the syndicate in 1974 for $BO,OOO. Elm Park Farms then served as the managing partner of Felicia May Fury until the time of her death in 1981. Felicia May Fury was clearly a cow to admire, and deserving of the Cow of the Millennium title. Nominated All-American six times, Felicia May Fury was the 1974 All-American Aged cow and she was the Holstein Champion World Dairy Expo in 1974, as well as being named Su preme Champion that same year. Her confirmation was con firmed with her classification of Excellent-97-SE. Felicia May Fury’s best pro duction record was produced at the age of seven years and seven months, with 32,176 pounds of milk in 365 days, consisting of 4.2 percent butterfat, and con tributing to a total of 227,830 pounds of milk produced by her during her lifetime. She is the dam of 13 Excellent offspring and continues to set the stan dard for outstanding type, pro duction, brood cow quality and longevity for all dairy breeds.
