    Draft Horse, Mule Show
Popular At
Great Frederick Fair
The draft horse and mule
show has long been a favorite
among spectators and partici
pants at The Great Frederick
Fair, and this should be no dif
ferent.
The one-day show gets under
way at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept.
17, in the infield at the fair
grounds. The show is one of
many shows and activities going
on during the 138th version of
The Great Frederick Fair. The
nine-day fair runs Sept. 15-23 in
Frederick, Md.
Sunday’s show will be judged
by Todd Biddle of Palmyra,
Ohio and Jason Eberly of Mon
clova, Ohio. The daylong show
will feature halter classes as well
as the popular antique farm im
plement class, the hitch and cart
classes. Halter classes are for ex
hibitors with registered Bel
gians, Clydesdales, Percherons
or Shire, Suffolk and gelding
and unregistered mares. Judg
ing is based on the animal’s con
formation and animal condition.
“The draft horse and mule
show continues to be a popular
event at The Great Frederick
Fair,” said Nancy Hendricks,
president of the fair board. “The
halter classes are certainly edu
cational because this is where
