Robert and Eloise Day, along with their son Loren, who is in part
nership with his father, milk 54 cows and have 25 heifers on this 187-
acre operation. They also rent two additional farms, where they farm
about 60 acres. The rented farms are surrounded by houses scattered
here and there, so the Days farm the areas that are left over. They do
graze their herd in the evenings and have mostly Holsteins with a few
crossbreeds. The Days are proud of the farm and are glad to be carry
ing on a family tradition.
