Dairy of Distinction Supplement to Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 29, 2000—Page
Ronald & Marcine Carpenetti
Peaceful Acres Dairy in Nicholson is owned by Ronald and Marcine
Carpenetti. The 207-acre farm has been in the family for 55 years.
Ronald and Marcine took over ownership 32 years ago. Today they milk
50 cows with 35 replacement heifers. One thing unique about the Car
penetti’s farm is that Ronald was born in the farmhouse on the farm.
The farm has received a lot of publicity lately due to the construction of
a greenhouse barn. The first of its kind in the area, the greenhouse
bam is used to house dry cows and heifers. Although they do have
some new barns, all of the original barns and out buildings still remain
on the farm, giving it historic appeal.
