Dairy of Distinction Supplement to Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 29, 2000--Page
Randy and Barbara Whitman purchased the 127-acre farm in Adams
ville less than a year ago. They are now milking 42 Holsteins with about
40 replacement animals. Randy buys all of his feed from his father-in
law, who farms the crop acres for Randy. The Whitmans ship to Farm
ers’ Union. Specializing in dairying, they own all registered cattle and
take extra effort in providing cow comfort and care for their herd.
