1990-91 Potter County Dairy
Princess, recently received an
honor she thought would never
happen in her life time the
pleasure of crowning the first
princess of the new millennium
for Potter County. A revived in
terest in the dairy princess pro
gram has been bom in this small
farming community. A simple
but elegant pageant was held at
the Citizens First National Bank
in Ulysses followed by a milk
punch reception.
The dairy community was
blessed with an amazing show of
support for the dairy program
and contestants. Dairy princess
contestants included Sherri
Kibbe, daughter of Donald and
Debbie Kibbe of Harrison Valley,
Pamela Cornell, daughter of
Charles (Sonny) and Norma
Cornell of Genesee, and Melissa
Burdick, daughter of Richard
and Cheryl Burdick of Harrison
Valley.
Serving as judges for the eve
ning were Lewis Gardener, Ger
mania; Betty Jo (Douglas) Kul
ish, Sabinsviile; and Bonnie
Gilman of Little Marsh. After a
short interview with each girl

promptu question, the judges re
tired a short time while the
crowd was introduced to the
newly appointed dairy maids
and ambassador Jessi Cornell
and Patty Peangatelli, daughters
of Edward and Michelle Cornell
who reside in Ulysses; Emily
Martin, daughter of Jody and
Joan Martin, Ulysses; and Katie
Thomas, daughter of Jack and
Kathy Thomas Jr., Ulysses. Also
representing the dairy industry
as ambassadors this year will be
Rachael Bachman, daughter of
Mark and Melanie Bachman,
Ulysses; and Ross Thomas, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas,
Ulysses.
After the careful deliberation
the panel of judges turned their
decision over to Master of Cere
monies Mark Bachman, who
proclaimed Melissa Burdick Pot
ter County Dairy Princess and
Pam Cornell and Sherri Kibbe,
alternate dairy princesses of the
new millennium.
