Trading was more active for the top quality cattle, with the best demand coming early and late in the sale. A good run of Holstein steers sold steady. Slaughter cow prices were mixed with lean cows trading steady to .50 lower and the big fleshy cows (less than 85 pet lean) selling steady to .50 higher than Tuesday’s sharply lower market. Slaughter bull prices were mostly 1.00 lower, but Yield Grade 1 bulls were not well tested. Supply included 43 percent slaughter steers and 36 percent slaughter cows.
