LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.)
What can one say to a faithful
employee after 50 continuous
years of excellent service to
dairymen? In an effort to show
their appreciation to Joe Linde
camp, Lancaster DHIA hosted a
dinner party at the Fulton
Grange in Nottingham.

Lindecamp
After 50 Years
A roast beef dinner was served
by members of the Grange, fol
lowed by a short program and
time of entertainment. Jay
Mylin, manager of Lancaster
DHIA, served as moderator. He
recalled some of his own person
al experiences with Lindecamp
and then reviewed the past SO
$5,500
years by asking Lindecamp ques
tions regarding his years in the
dairy industry and ways in which
it has changed. A display table
filled with items used to test milk
in the days before laboratory
equipment proved to be of great
interest to all.
There was also sharing of
memories by several generations
of people at whose farms Linde
camp tested for many years. His
wife Judy was included in some
of those memories, as she helped
him for the majority of those
years.
Lindecamp’s willingness to go
beyond the call of duty and his
attention to detail were repeated
throughout the day. His meticu
lous record keeping practice was
also mentioned numerous times,
with the calf books on display for
proof.
Lindecamp was presented
with a plaque, scrapbook, and a
monetary gift of $5OO. His wife
Judy was given a framed picture
of cows out to pasture and an ar
rangement of roses.
Both farmers and Lancaster
DHIA employees will miss
Lindecamp, who retired at the
end of June.
