CATTLE: Compared to Thursday, a
very light offering of slaughter steers
and heifers sold .50 lower. Slaughter
cows and bulls were not well tested, but a
fancy offering of young fed bullocks sold
sharply higher. Supply included 44 per
cent slaughter steers and 19 percent
slaughter cows.

CATTLE: Compared to Thursday;
slaughter steers, heifers, and Holstein
steers sold .50 to mostly 1.00 lower.
Losses continued from Monday’s stow
start and 70.00 is no longer a support
level for Choice cattle. Slaughter cows
were very active and prices were fully
steady and instances .50 higher with
good competition for the healthy lean
cows (over 85 pet lean). Slaughter bulls
were not fully tested. Supply included 46
percent slaughter steers and 46 percent
slaughter cows.

fancy singles up to 75.00. Choice 2-3

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday, a
good offering of slaughter steers and
heifers sold steady with a few early sales
of high Choice and Prime steers trending
firm to .50 higher. Demand was good for
top quality cattle and the market may
have found a bottom for the average
cattle, with prices ending the week .50-
1.00 lower. A good test of Holstein steers
traded steady to .50 higher, to end the
week .50 lower. Demand was much
lighter for slaughter cows and prices
were 1.00-2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls
sold steady to 1.00 lower than last week’s
active market. Supply included 47 per-
