Weekly Cattle Summary
Oklahoma National Stockyards will
not have a sale the week of July the 4th.
Next sale will be Monday July 10,2000.
Compared to last week: Feeder steers
and steer calves steady to 2.00 higher.
Feeder heifers and heifer calves 1.00-
3.00 higher. Demand very good for all
classes. Cornbelt interests continued to
be driving force for feeder cattle. Great
moisture conditions in Oklahoma have
pastures in excellent condition. Okla
homa buyers creating the strong calf and
Stocker markets. Quality average.
Weigh-ups gaunt to average, some full.
Feeder cattle in medium to fleshy condi
tions. Calves in medium to fleshy condi
tion, with several heavier weight fleshy
calves included. Supply also included
some thin Stockers.
Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 lower.
Slaughter bulls steady. Packer demand
moderate to good. Demand very good
for replacement cows. Total of 485 cows
and bulls sold with 55 percent to pack-
