Twenty four high school seniors have re ceived highly competitive scholarships from the College of Agriculture and Natural Re sources at the University of Del aware (UD). The Agriculture and Natural Resources Scholarship Awards made possible through an en dowment funded by the state of Delaware, agribusinesses, alumni, and individual donors to the university are given on a competitive basis to incoming first-year students. To qualify, applicants must be accepted by UD to major in agri culture and natural resources, have demonstrated academic achievement and service, and successfully complete faculty in terviews. Scholarships are re newable for up to three additional years. Russell Arnold 11, a senior at Delmar High School in Parson burg, Md., received a $2,000 Harry Bonk Agricultural Schol arship and a $l,OOO Butler Scholarship. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Arnold of Parson burg, he plans to major in plant biology.
