Gelbvieh Alliance Continues To
Post Strong Numbers
WESTMINSTER, Colo.
The Gelbvieh Alliance has
posted strong numbers through
out the spring and early summer
months of 2000. As the largest
breed-coordinated marketing al
liance in the nation, the
Gelbvieh Alliance continues to
evolve in order to meet the needs
to today’s beef industry.
During the month of May, the
Gelbvieh Alliance boasted num
bers that were up 17 percent
from May 1999. In May of 2000,
the Gelbvieh Alliance processed
7,180 head of cattle compared to
6,129 the previous year.
For the fiscal year, the
Gelbvieh Alliance is up eight
percent from a year ago at this
time. The Gelbvieh Alliance has
sold 22,247 head through its two
marketing grids with Con Agra.
Gelbvieh Alliance offers a con
ventional (muscling) grid and a
marbling grid with Con Agra.

offer producers a choice, so they
can select the one that will allow
their cattle to make the most
money possible,” says Don
