Daily National
Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
Wed June 7,2000
USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News
Daily National Grain Market Sum
mary
Profit taking and favorable weather
seemed to be the major factors in lower
grain and soybean bids. Wheat steady to
4 cents lower. Corn 4 to 6 cents lower.
Sorghum 11 cents lower. Soybeans 2 to 8
cents lower.
Hot, dry weather over the hard red
winter and soft red winter growing areas
allowed for active harvest after recent
rain delays. Light export sales of wheat
this week but no substantial amounts
have been purchased.
Forecasts are calling for light rains
across the Corn Belt over the next 6 to 10
days. Additional weakness was due to
lack of fresh export news for corn and
beans.
