    Daily National
Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
Wed May 24,2000
USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News
Daily National Grain Market Sum
mary
Profit taking and rainy weather condi
tions pressured grain and soybean bids.
Wheat 2 to 3 cents lower. Corn steady to
3 cents lower. Sorghum 6 cents lower.
Soybeans 4 to 7 cents lower.
Wheat bids fell slightly lower as profit
taking set in on the Board, today. Rain
has been reported in some of the head
ing/milking wheat areas the past couple
of days, pushing bids lower. Light over
night export sales to Japan limited dec
lines in wheat.
Corn and soybean bids were weaker
due to rains in the central US.
Talks of drought have been eased
somewhat as forecasts continued to call
for moisture. Some profit taking was
also noted in bean pits as traders prepare
for the long holiday weekend. Export
demand remains slow for corn and
beans.
