GLANCE
Prices were higher in Chicago. In the
Eastern region, prices were unchanged
to higher Elsewhere, prices were un
changed.
The market tone was steady to fully
steady. Retail demand was mixed in a
full range, but was mostly moderate to
fairly good approaching the holiday
weekend. Supplies of the lighter weights
were generally adequate, however, the
larger sizes ranged adequate to at times
barely adequate. Breaking stock offer
ings were adequate from regular sources,
and demand for additional product was
generally limited. Light type hens were
ample for the light demand
