Feeder heifers steady to 1.00 lower. Demand opened light to moderate for feeders but turned good by late morn ing. Token rains in parts of corn belt stimulated feeder demand as grain fu tures declined. Also graze-out wheat now tough and some cattle have dropped weight providing buyers with more attractive flesh conditions. Steer and heifer calves 1.00-4.00 lower with most decline on heifers. Calves mostly unweaned new crops and demand fairly good for these. Feeder cattle in medium to fleshy conditions with increased num bers toward medium flesh. Weigh-ups average to full. Quality plain to average, few attractive. Slaughter cows and bulls 1.00 lower. Packer demand moderate at best. Demand good for replacements and pairs. Total of 385 cows and bulls sold with 45 percent to packers. Receipts this week 13,350; last week 11,292; last year 11,697.
