In the awards category: Travis Sherman received the Environmental Stewardship award for conservation practices on the farm he operates with his wife Christine in Wellsviile. Ray and Mary Grimes were given the 1999 member recognition award for their years of dedication to the beef industry. Allyson Cole, Miranda Leese, Jessi Leister and B.J. Wagner were named recipients of the Academic Achievement Awards for 2000. Each one will receive a check for $6OO at the beginning of the school year. Candice Flickinger of Bigler ville was chosen the beef queen and Stacy Menchey of Littles town was chosen as beef prin cess.
