Daily National Grain Market Summary
Crain and soybean bids were all higher
on fund buying and below avenge crop
condition ratings in some winter wheat
areas. Wheat mostly 1 to 3 cents higher.
Com I to 4 cents higher. Sorghum 6 to 8
cents higher. Soybeans 1 to 5 cents higher.
Improved crop conditions ate expected in
Texas and Oklahoma wheat areas due to
good overnight rainfall. Forecasts are call
ing for more moisture over the next 24
hours. However, some concerns that too
much rainfall may cause some crop dam
age due to diseases. Export sales continues
slow this week and Algeria is waiting for
lower prices before they make any purch
ases. Com and soybean bids moved higher
due to fund buying on the Board. Some
traders continue to maintain drought con
cerns as some areas of the Com Belt
remains dry. A South African crop agency
lowered their com production to 9.188 mil
lion metric tons. Soybean meal prices were
slightly higher. Beans were also supported
by reports that precipitation for this month
is below normal in several places. Slow
export demand limited gains.
