In Chicago, prices were higher. In the
Eastern region, prices were unchanged to
higher. Elsewhere, prices were unchanged.
The market lone was fully steady to firm.
Retail demand ranged light to fairly good,
mostly fait to moderate, with better move
ment centering around the scattered prom
otional activity. Supplies of all sizes were
mostly adequate to instances tight in some
areas. Breaking stock offerings were usual
ly adequate from regular sources, and
demand for additional product was gener
ally limited as most dealers cautiously
assessed further market developments.
Light type fowl were sufficient for imme
diate needs.

moderate but improved. The undertone
was at least fully steady on whites and
whole, and about steady on yolks. Liquid

cessed under federal Inspecdn In the East
ern region for the week ending March 11,
2000 were 3 % more than than last week,
and 7 % more than a year ago. Shell egg
suppliers were fully adequate for needs.
