Berlin-Brothersvalley FFA Salutes Top Achievers GAY BROWNLEE Somerset Co. Correspondent BERLIN (Somerset Co.)-About 245 persons at the 61st Annual Berlin- Brothersvalley FFA Banquet sa luted Dennis Hay, when he was named the 45th honorary member of the chapter. In 1971 Hay was graduated from Berlin-Brothersvalley High School where he had been both vice president and president of the local FFA, and la ter-1974-received the American Farmer Degree. Hay and wife, Cheryl are par ents of Jeremy and Jared, who are also active in FFA. Hay op erates High Manor Farms and actively supports the Berlin Young Farmers Chapter, which led to his recognition as the Region V Outstanding Young Farmer in 1994 by the Pennsyl vania Young Farmer Associa tion. When the FFA members begin the spring project of a portable greenhouse, Hay, a school board member donates a wagon to use for spring bedding plants.
