held last month at the Pennsyl
vania Farm Show building. This
annual sale is held to serve the
needs of the breeders of Belgian,
Percheron, Clydesdale, Shire,
and Suffolk Draft Horses and
Haflinger ponies.
The top selling Belgian Mare
was Market Ways Jewel, a 3-
year-old consigned by Amos
Beiler, Jr. Gap, and purchased
by Chad Cole, Center Hall for
$3,600.
Orndorffs Challenger, a 2-
year-old Belgian stallion, con
signed by Gail Biddle and
Family, Boalsburg, went to
Ronald Denker, Howard, for
$4,900.
The top Haflinger, Jingle Bell
DHM, consigned by Soloman
Zook, Honey Brook, sold to
Elam Zook, Quarryville, for
$9,500.
And the top pair of Belgian
geldings, were three-years-old,
and consigned by Sylvanus
Peachey, Belleville, and sold to
John Kurtz, Addison, N.Y. for
$5,000.
Tack and other horse equip
