NATIONAL EGO MARKET - AT A
GLANCE
Prices were unchanged throughout the
country. The market tone was mostly
steady to instances fully steady. Retail
demand tanged light to moderate, mostly
moderate, with promotional activity usual
ly generating best pull. Supplies were mix
ed. balanced to available at times, but gen
erally adequate, overall. However, on the
West coast, fairly good movement,
enhanced by regional feature activity, kept
product in good balance. Breaking stock
supplies were at least adequate from regu
lar sources, and demand for additional pro
duct continued unaggressive as dealers
monitored market developments closely.
Light type fowl were fully sufficient for
immediate needs.

were mostly desirable to light Processing
schedules were moderate to moderately
heavy. Less than trucklot asking prices
