Sanitation Course
LEESPORT (Berks Co.)-The National
Restaurant Association Applied Food Service
Sanitation Certification Course is planned for
Monday, March 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on
April 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The purpose of this course is to give individu
als information to oversee and train other
employees in the safe handling of food.
Managers, chefs, supervisory personnel, kitchen
managers, and anyone who is responsible for
safe food handling in restaurants, schools, super
markets, churches, soup kitchens, “delies, fire
companies, granges, and health care establish
ments should plan to attend.
The course will be held at Berks County
Agricultural Center, Bern Township. Lunch will
be provided on the full days. The third day will
end upon completion of the National Restaurant
Certification Examination.
Class size is limited to the first 35 paid regis
trants. Registration will be on a first-come, first
serve basis. Course will require reading of the
textbook and independent study. Cost for the
course is $lOO.OO.
