Movement of teady-to-cook whole birds
was slow to fair at best. Seller offerings
varied by both volume and size, but
remained fully sufficient for current
inquiry. Live supplies were at least mod
erate; weights varied in a full range of light
to heavy. Processing schedules were mod
erately heavy. Less than tiucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 45 to 57 cents.
Trade sentiment was about steady. In the
parts complex, bone-in breasts and tenders
were noted as in dose balance. Other items
were at least adequate with boneless skin
less breasts generally noted as in the better
balance.

Mostly prices were unchanged on
whites, unchanged to lower on whole, and
tower on yolks when compared to a week
earlier. Trading was light. However,
demand was reported as best on whites,
moderate on whole, and light on yolks.
Liquid and frozen eggs (ingredients
included) processed under federal inspec
tion in the Eastern region for the week
ending February OS, 2000 were 9% leas
than last week, and 2 % mote than a year
ago. Shell eggs supplies were adequate to
ample for trade needs.
