LANCASTER (Lancaster
Co.)-Lancaster DHIA will host
two workshops for dairymen
who are using PC DART for
Herd Management. Currently
over 2200 Dairymen nationwide
are using PC DART on the
farm.
The software program was
developed and is supported by
Raleigh Dairy Records Manage
ment System. It is available to

energy and new food producing
systems based on renewable
sources of energy. Dr. Todd is
currently a research professor
and distinguished lecturer at the
University of Vermont. He
teaches ecological design. Dr.
Todd was recognized in 1987 by
the UN Environmental Program
for his contributions in protect
ing the earths environment. He
received the Chico Mendes En
vironmental Merit Award in
1989 from the US Environmen
tal Protection agency. He re
ceived the Teddy Roosevelt
Conservation Award in 1990,
Discovery Magazines Techno
logical Award in 1991, the
Charles A. and Anne Morrow
Lindbergh Award in 1998, and
the Bioneers Life Time Achieve
ment Award in 1998.
The conference began with an
8:00 a.m. registration on Friday
followed by the opening session
and keynote address by Shiva at
9:30.
Participants then attended
Dr. Vandana Shivas, New Delhi, India, delivered the
keynote address.
