Thursday, slaughter steers and heifers
sold 50 lower Alter late last week's
sharply lower market Choice steer prices
seem to have found bottom side support at
the 67 00 level Holstein steers sold fully
steady Slaughter cows were not well
tested and slaughter bulls sold 200
higher than Thursday, but puces were
much more reasonable than last week's
high quotes Supply included 44 percent

Demand was good for Holstein stceis

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday’s
lower market, slaughter steer prices
were steady. Some mild strength was
noted early on the quality cattle, but it
was solely based on the short supply.
Many cattle were discounted for carry
ing excess mud. A good run of Holstein
steers sold steady. Slaughter heifers sold
firm as steer buyers turned to the fe
