CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday’s
lower market, slaughter steers contin
ued their downward trend with prices
.50-1.00 lower and the full decline was
posted on the high Choice and Prime
quality cattle. For the week, the slaugh
ter steer market closed fully 1.00 to 1.50
lower. Trading activity was back to
normal after several weeks of slow sales,
but demand was not strong enough to
hold the market. Holstein steers sold
fully 1.00 lower and slaughter heifers
