Frozen Eggs
ATLANTA, GA.
JANUARY 28, 2000
EASTERN REGION FROZEN EGGS,
JANUARY 28.2000. FEDERAINSTATE
Prices were generally unchanged to
higher on whites, balance of items were
unchanged to lower. Demand was mixed
for irregular offerings. The undertone was
firm on whites, barely steady on whole,
and weak on yolks. Liquid and frozen eggs
(ingredients included) processed under
federal inspection in the Eastern region for
the week ending January 22. 2000 were 6
% less than last week, and 1 % less than a
year ago. Shell egg supplies were folly
adequate for current trade needs.

Trucklot buying activity slowed as mid
week approached and expectations for the
Hist of the month were conservative.
Offerings of all items were at least adequ
ate. Discounting continued on wrings and
began to be observed on breast items.
Retail and distributive movement was no
better than fair. The market tone was weak
on wings and breast items and no better
than steady for the balance.
