NCGA Elects New Board Leaders ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The National Com Growers Association (NCGA) has elected a new slate of com growers to lead the organiza tion into the next century. Elections were conducted during the recent National Com Congress Aug. 5-6 in Washington, D.C. Moving to the helm as NCGA President is Lynn Jensen, who with his wife Jodi grows com, soybeans, edibles, and alfalfa in Lake Preston, S.D. A farmer for 19 years, Jensen has been active in his state and national com growers associations for more than seven years. As an NCGA Com Board member, he served as a liaison to the Customer and Business Development Action Team. Leland Klein, who with his wife Sharon raises com, soy beans, rye, alfalfa and hay in Battle Creek, Neb., was rati fied by Com Congress as president-elect. He has served as president of the St. Clair Service Company for eight years and as director of the St. Clair County Fair Bureau practices both now and in the future. Bill has served for eight years as a board member and president of the lowa Cora Growers Association. At the national level, he has spent seven years as an NCGA board member and is a member of NCGA’s Public Policy Action Team. Horan is also a board member of the U.S. Grains Council, representing the lowa Farm Bureau. He was selected by lowa’s governor and is serving on that state’s Value-Added Growth Foundation.
